The Lutz Children’s Museum is a real museum designed just for children. They may only see the play and fun, but professional museum curators have planned these activities carefully. These experiences promote a love of learning and thirst for knowledge and the skills learned here will help children to be more successful in school and in life.
Museum teaching methods focus on self-discovery and exploration. Real museum artifacts or live animals are integrated into almost every program giving children the opportunity to experience the world first hand. Concerts and trips give young learners the chance to see arts and culture up close and to develop their own tastes and appreciation.
Series Classes
A visit to the Lutz Children’s Museum includes endless access to special events and free-with-admission classes! These classes are catered towards young learners who take a keen interested to the world around them. Class topics may pertain to visual, fine, or performing arts, history, and natural science.
For our youngest learners, these classes are their first experience in an informal classroom-like setting. Classes are grouped by age so that children may learn with their friends and parents while participating in structured activities.
Current class times and descriptions can be found in our most current public newsletter, “Lutz Up!”. Plan on arriving at the museum ahead of schedule to sign-up for class. Class space is limited and sign-up is on first-come first-serve basis.
